Ms. Pennington has over 15 years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience. Ms. Pennington began her career in public accounting with Ernst & Young. From there she has held positions with large publicly traded companies such as Lexmark and Valvoline, most recently serving as the Director of Financial and SEC Reporting for Ramaco Resources, Inc. Prior to that role, Ms. Pennington spent two years at Valvoline, Inc. as the Financial Reporting Manager serving as an integral part of the team leading the Valvoline side of the spin-off from Ashland, Inc. Valvoline, Inc. became a standalone $2 billion company upon completion of the spin-off. Ms. Pennington led the conversion of the stock compensation plan for the Valvoline side during spin-off and was a key member of the team setting up Valvoline’s external reporting function. Prior to this, Ms. Pennington spent over 5 years with RAAM Global Energy Company, an oil and gas company with publicly traded bonds. Ms. Pennington was hired as the SEC Compliance Manager, with full responsibility for registering the company with the SEC and completing an exchange offer for its $150 million bonds, setting up the company’s external reporting process and implementing appropriate internal controls to ensure the company was Sarbanes Oxley compliant. Ms. Pennington was promoted from this role to serve as RAAM’s Corporate Controller.
